Reinert sold 1043 in May 2002. I personally pushed 1043 and all the extra parts into a trailer. The car has been sold twice since then.

1043 and the convertible are not even in the same person's hands anymore.

I also know that Reinert has a new agent now, who is not Lee.

Walter, if you want to contact Reinert's new agent, Jay has his contact info.

I also tried to get ahold of Lee, but his phone and email didn"t work either, and I'm leaving Phoenix for Chicago tomorrow and was hoping to view #57 next week in Wisconson.

Could Lee's posting today be out-dated?

Convertible Text from Owner

The information from the "seller's agent" is identical as what I received after the car was advertised in Hemmings December 1999.

A new "agent" offered the car for sale in 2001.

I ALSO KNOW IT WAS ONLY PLANED AS AN IDEA FOR LIKE 1950 BUT NEVER MADE. THERE WAS NO CONVERTIBLE MADE EVER AS I KNOW OF BUT ONE WHICH IS NOT REAL THAT I HAVE HEARD OF THAT WAS PUT TOGETHER BY SOMEONE WHO LOVE THE CAR. WHY DON'T HE LIKE TO SHOW IT?? I UNDERSTAND HIS LOVE FOR THE CAR AND WOULD STILL BE NICE TO SEE IT. THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH BUILDING YOUR OWN CAR. IF YOU HAVE IT AND YOU ARE READING THIS PLEASE LET US ALL SEE IT. WHY BUILD SOMETHING AND HIDE IT? HAVE FUN WITH IT AND WE CAN ALL HELP YOU CONTINUE YOUR PROJECT IF POSIBLE. DON'T BE AFRAID OF SHOWING YOUR CAR. DON'T BE AFRAID OF SHOWING IT LIKE TUCKER WAS NOT AFRAID OF SHOWING HIS CAR. AS LONG AS YOU LIKE IT THAT'S WHAT COUNTS. PEOPLE MAY LOVE IT BUT YOU ARE NOT GIVING US ALL A CHANCE TO SEE IT.

I don't have a problem posting the photos if you want to email them (webmaster@tuckerclub.org). The photos still don't provide documentation that the car was comissioned by the Tucker Corp.

The Tucker Automobile Club of America, Inc.—the foremost collective authority on Tucker Automobiles—has never been presented with any credible evidence to prove the authenticity of this vehicle and therefore can not certify it as such.

Well if it is a cut down 4 door the metal worker seems to do a very good job.
